Attractive evergreen shrub to 10-30’ tall, with glossy aromatic leaves. Prefers sunny, medium to dry conditions. Native near the coast, southern Washington to California, ours is from the northernmost extent of the distribution. Tolerates salt spray in shoreline plantings. Transplanting can be problematic.
