Small Camas
Edible native bulb with showy spikes bearing numerous blue flowers. Found in open grassy areas of the western states, prefers spring moisture. This is a highly variable species with geographical variants that are recognized as subspecies. Note there is much overlap in habitat and differences in morphology are to be expected.
